Jane Hentgen is married to Steven D. Hentgen and is mother of Nickolas and Alexander. She was born in Columbus, Ohio and is a graduate of Upper Arlington High School in Columbus. Jane is a 1974 graduate of Ohio State University with a B.A. in Literature. She taught at Madison Plains High School in London, Ohio, and Maconaquah High School in Miami County, Indiana. She is a member of Wabash First United Methodist Church, Doris Blake Circle, and Sunday school teacher. She delivers Meals on Wheels. Jane enjoys playing tennis.

Steven Hentgen, a licensed funeral director since 1977, is President of Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Inc. and Memorial Lawns Cemetery Inc. He was born in Wabash, is a graduate of Northfield High School 1973, graduated in 1975 from Vincennes University with an Associates Degree in Business, and is a 1976 graduate of the Indiana College of Mortuary Science. Steve is a member of Wabash First United Methodist, where he sings in the church choir and the George Berg Quartet. He is a member of Wabash Kiwanis Club, Wabash Optimist Club, Wabash Masonic Lodge #61, Fort Wayne Scottish Rite and Mizpah Shrine, Wabash Shrine Club, Wabash Elks and Moose Lodges. He is President of the Board of the Wabash Community Foundation, serves on the Board of Overseers of the Honeywell House, and the Wabash County Hospital Foundation Board of Directors.
Chad Maple, a Licensed Funeral Director since 1996, is Secretary/Treasurer of Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Inc. He was born in Wabash to Barry and Kay (Grandstaff) Maple. Chad is the grandson of Lloyd Grandstaff who founded Grandstaff Funeral Home in 1933. He is married to Christy who is a full-time mom. They attend Urbana Yoke Parish in Urbana. They are the parents of Brandon Charles, who died in 2004, Caden Wayne, born April 6, 2006, and Laney Kay born May 11, 2008. Chad is a graduate of Wabash High School, attended Indiana University, and is a 1995 graduate of Mid-America College of Mortuary Science. He is a member of the Honeywell Golf Course Board of Directors and the Monday Night Industrial Bowling League.
Kathleen Grandstaff, wife of Ken, lives in Roann and has two children: Julie (Joe) Kostka and Jean (Doug) Morehouse, and two grandsons, Nathan Kostka, and Jack Morehouse, and one granddaughter, Anna Marie Morehouse. She was born in Richmond, Indiana, and is a graduate of Bunker Hill High School, Bunker Hill, Indiana. She has a Bachelor and Master’s Degree from Ball State University and taught at Randall Elementary School on Grissom Air Force Base near Peru. Kathie was the music teacher for Wabash Elementary Schools for two years. With the arrival of Julie and Jean, she taught piano in her home for many years. She is a member of the Roann United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Wabash Musicale, Happy Homemakers Home Ec Club, and she serves on the Boards of Directors of Wabash Valley Music Association, Tender Heart Daycare, and Stockdale Mill Foundation.
Ken Grandstaff, a licensed funeral director since 1962, is husband of Kathie, lifetime resident of Roann, graduate of Roann High School, Indiana University, and Indiana College of Mortuary Science. He and Kathie have two daughters, Julie (Joe) Kostka and Jean (Doug) Morehouse, and two grandsons, Nathan Kostka and Jack Morehouse, and a granddaughter, Anna Marie Morehouse. He is a member of the Roann United Methodist Church, past President of Roann Lions Club, past President of Roann Merchants Association, and President of Roann Development Corp. Ken's memberships also include: Wabash Rotary Club, Wabash Elks Club, past President of the Indiana Funeral Directors Association, former member and Chairman of the Indiana State Board of Funeral and Cemetery Service, and Hanna Masonic Lodge, Fort Wayne Scottish Rite and Mizpah Shrine and Wabash Shrine Club. He is a Life Member of the Honeywell Foundation.
Wesley G. Cole, a licensed funeral director, is married to the former Pamela Batt. They are originally from Muncie, but have made their home in Wabash since 2002. The Coles are the proud parents of two children, Nathaniel, also of Wabash, and Deven (Stephen) Swan of Marion where she is an adjunct professor at Indiana Wesleyan University and teaches at Lakeview Christian School. They are also the proud grandparents of Katelyn Grace, Caleb Wesley, and Joshua Kenneth Swan.
Wes was born in Rushville, Indiana, and is a graduate of Muncie Southside High School and Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He also attended the University of Indianapolis, Vincennes University, and Polk County Community College in Winter Haven, Florida. He retired from the US Air Force after more than 20 years of service, and has served in the funeral industry for over 34 years around the country. His memberships include Wabash Church of the Nazarene where he is a worship leader, and American Legion Post 15 of Wabash. He also serves as a charter member on the board of trustees for Lighthouse Mission (Wabash County Thrift Store).
Stephen Dafoe,a licensed funeral director since 2008, has been with the firm since 2006. He was born in Fort Wayne and is the son of Douglas and Ruth Dafoe, of West Milton, Ohio. He married the former Megan Steele, of Wabash in April of 2010. Stephen and Megan are the parents of Elijah Douglas Dafoe, who was born January 4th, 2011. The Dafoe family resides in North Manchester.
Stephen is a 2000 graduate of Milton-Union High School in West Milton. In 2007 he received his Bachelor of Mortuary Science degree from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He also attended The University of Toledo, Wright State University, and Sinclair Community College. Stephen is a member, and serves as an elder, of the North Manchester Missionary Church. He also serves on the Junior Achievement board of Manchester Community Schools.
Nickolas Hentgen,the son of Steve and Jane Hentgen, is currently serving his funeral director internship with our firm. He was born in Marion, Indiana. Nick graduated from Wabash High School in 2006, attended Indiana University in Bloomington, and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Mortuary Science from Mid America College of Mortuary Science in September 2011. Nick is a member of First United Methodist Church and Rotary Club in Wabash. A sports enthusiast, Nick is the junior varsity baseball coach for Wabash High School, participates in the YMCA Basketball League, and the Monday Night Industrial Bowling League.
